Excel is often used successfully to collect, prepare and present information used to make important business decisions. But the right solution is required for optimal achievement of the benefits of using Excel as a supporting tool for the handling of these processes.

In most of our solutions, we use simple VBA programming (macro programming) which, with a little instruction, can be updated and maintained by our customers themselves. In a few solutions, the VBA programming is, in the nature of things, more complex and requires professional assistance if it must be customized. We tailor the complexity to the wishes and needs of our customers. VBA opens up the opportunity for integration with other systems and a higher degree of automation, which boosts the level of our customers’ solutions so that the solutions become both more effective and more secure.

Advantages when solutions are developed with VBA

  • Manual procedures become automated, which saves time and eliminates errors, e.g. automatic importing of data from a large number of uniform Excel files.
  • It becomes possible to integrate with other programmes in the Office package, e.g. exporting of graphs and tables directly into a PowerPoint template in connection with management reporting or sending of automatically generated e-mails via Outlook.
  • The same file can be adapted to the needs of several different user types, e.g. of selected sheets if the user does not have rights to see them. This can eliminate the need for having several versions of the same file for different user groups.
